Centro Mercado in Mazatlan

centro mercado mazatlanWhen I think of home, I think usually of love and laughter and heart. When I think of these three things in turn, I always associate them with color. Home then to me is often a painting in varying shades of bright colors and hues, connected to images of the heart. When thinking of a place to settle then I always think about how the colors and pictures of that place match my desires for my life. And when one thinks or considers Mexico as a place to live- there is only one picture that flashes instantly- its famous Mercados.

One thing that would truly convince me that Mexico is a place I can live happily and vibrantly is the presence of such wonderful markets. Why is this so? At the heart of the city, lies the city’s heart. The Mexican market contains everything from food to art, crafts, pottery, clothing and the like. For the discerning person, judging a community is best done by looking at how its center operates and lives. And if one were to judge Mexico by its markets, one would truly be in for a full life. More than what the market sells though is what it stands for. For those thinking of living in Mexico, the traditional markets represent a new and exciting life, full of creativity, tradition, and culture all rolled into one.

So for those who look at the pulse of a community, for those who can distinguish the local ports as the lifeblood of a town, and use what is found here as the basis for a new life, will not be disappointed in making Mexico their new home.
